It's been a while and I think I tried to blog about the birth of Quinn, but I'm sure I haven't blogged about the addition of Joe- who is now about 2.5 years old...so it's been a while. But I'm trying to resurrect my blog for the boys to see when they are older. And I know I'll get the old...but James had so much and we have so little- but whatevs.
Some recent happenings include Quinn regaling us with the story of creation at dinner:
"And so, God said, yet dere be wight. And dere was wight." Joey wearing his ice cream all over the place and being snuggly and sassy and dirty all the time. And our five year old James who is in Kindergarten and going on 15.

James WIlliam's First Birthday Extravaganzas

This party included a make your own cupcake station... Seaniebear is pictured below painstakingly applying sprinkles. This was a major highlight of the afternoon for me.

James had a cold and was getting ready for his nap- he mostly just watched in awe for the few minutes he was a part of the playground fun.
The next party happened on his actual birthday, April 17. That one featured many Beyrers, Palodinos, Wulfs, Wolfroms but not ,sad to say, our dog Jack. Unfortunately our Jack passed away that morning. SO it was an up- and -down kind of day.
But Joe was a trooper and set a good example on how to go in the face of adversity... and a good time was had by all. At this party there was pin the tail on the donkey, make your own picture frame, and baseball cupcakes for all. Each child at both parties went home with a neato partyfavor put together by Aunt Feather with baseball stuff.
And then, on Friday April 23 the ladies from my work came over to celebrate Jamie's birthday. They have been very nice to me and so I wanted to say thanks...they weren't supposed to bring presents but they did anyway. James got some great presents- with a special highlight being a playhouse from the O'Haras....really...brand new...
I feel like the year has flown and he has grown and changed so much. He's walking now and I think by next year he will be talking in recognizeable words...While I'm eager to see that I'm not in a rush for him to get bigger...
Boy do I love that baby.
Oh- and according to his 1 year old appointment- he's 22 lbs, 11 oz ( 50%), 31 inches( 75%) and his head is tiny...hard to tell with all that hair!
The Best Day Ever!
James and I spent the day together because Joey had to coach a Track meet. I wasn't sure how it was going to go...but it was FANtastic! Jamie's usually pretty chipper in the morning but sometimes when he gets tired he fights us about taking a nap...not today- He went into his crib and fell asleep- like magic! Then a little over an hour later, he woke up refreshed and patient!( Mommy was dressing him in a new outfit with stiff buttons...but he didn't care that it took five times as long to get dressed- we just talked and laughed!)
Then we made our way to the beach and went for a walk on the boardwalk since it was gorgeous out today. He liked that. Then we went to grandpa's house and had lunch with Aunt Feath and Gpa. He LOVED that. Then we went home and played for a few minutes and then he went down for another nap...almost two hours! I found myself at loose ends...!!
Then we played and ate and laughed and then Joey finally came home so we ate again and went for a walk in the super cool wagon that Aunt Feath got him for his first bday( which I should write a seperae entry about). Then it was bath, bottle, bed...with no crying again. It was a miracle wonder of a day and I am grateful for it. I didn't really get any pics...I was too busy enjoying it!

Christmas 09

We began opening presents at our house on Christmas morning around 6:30am. James enjoyed eating the paper as do most 8 month olds! He received a set of plastic balls that enthralled him from Santa and tired him out so he took a nice morning nap. He also got his fourth baseball glove.

We then went to Grandpa Meagher's and saw Uncle John, Aunt Bean, Loch, Sean,Gpa and Aunt Feath.

Then we went to Aunt Inez's and saw Grampa and Grandma Beyrer, Uncle Tom, Aunt Inez, Great Aunt Ann, Cousin Jen, and cousins Brendan, Sean, and Aidan.

Happy New Year to all!

Happy Belated Birthday Aunt Bean!

We forgot to send a card with our present down to North Carolina ( so a birthday elf told us) so now, thanks to technology we are able to share the bday card through our blog! As you can see from the above pictures he was more intent on eating the crayons than anything else...But we do all wish you a happy birthday Aunt Bean!
